Obituary

Delores Arlene Habeck, age 88, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in Shawano. Delores was born on May 19, 1928, the daughter of the late William and Meta (Polk) Fietzer. On May 12, 1951 she was united in marriage to Norman Habeck in Shawano. They lived all their married life in Shawano. Norman preceded her in death on October 27, 2010. In her free time Delores enjoyed knitting, crafting and reading. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, a sewing club and knitting club.

Delores is survived by her daughter, Shelley (LeRoy) Marohl of Shawano; her son, Brett A. Habeck of Green Valley, AZ; two grandchildren, Joshua and Brianna; three great-grandchildren, Jaxon, Kooper and Kayleigh; and one sister, Lois Darling of CA.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman; one son, Jeffrey; her parents; four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 28, 2016 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Ted Andrada officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the service. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the wonderful, caring staff at Birch Hill Health Center, Pastor Rinehard, and a big thank you to Pastor Andrada. I know your beautiful voice singing hymns to mom let her know it was now ok to go home.
