IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Delores
Vigue-Roberts
May 21, 1953 – December 27, 2023
When it comes to my mother there was one thing that stuck out more than anything: resilience. She was a strong determined woman who would do anything for her children and in the past 6 years her grandchildren and they effectively called her Grammy. Her world revolved around her grandsons up until her last breath. Delores Jean Marie Bernadette Vigue-Roberts started her journey to Heaven to join her husband Keith A. Roberts, surrounded by family on Wednesday December 27, 2023. Delores was met at the Pearly Gates by her mother, Audrey Doxtator, her grandfather, George Vigue, grandmother, Theadora Vigue and granddaughter, Jean Ann, with a smile on her face and no more pain in her body.
Delores left behind her daughter, Theadora (Tracy) Tucker and two grandsons, Evan and Brody and granddaughter, Jasmine Caldwell with the strength and courage to know she will always be with them every day. She left her son, Fritz (Ashley) Roberts and her grandson, Oliver with all the love in the world. She left behind her brothers, Pete Vigue and Vern (Lynn) Doxtator; sisters, Darlene Doxtator, Brenda Tomow and Debbie (Lonnie) Granlee. She left behind a goddaughter, Margaret (Gene) Caldwell. Her cousin-sister, Delberta (Otto) Pethke. Several nieces and nephews, multiple cousin/siblings who she grew up with and enjoyed so many wonderful times together. She also left behind several good friends including Caroline Miller. Delores was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church in Keshena.
While Delores was here on Earth she had multiple job she worked for Indian legal Services, The Menominee County Tax Assessor her last place of employment was at the Menominee Casino in the restaurant as an Inventory Specialist. She worked there with her cousin Scottie (Cecelia) Graham as her partner in FOOD CRIME! She and her husband Keith were the owners of Lincoln Products where she helped him manufacture Asphalt Pavement Maintenance Equipment. She loved to sew making a lot of her clothes when she was younger and making several beautiful dresses for her daughter. She loved to cook and bake. There wasn't a recipe she wouldn't try to master sometimes her biscuits would be amazing and others they would resemble a hockey puck or as dad would affectionately say "did ya bake a ton of bricks?"
She loved her animals her black lab Stella would sleep next to her, and her cat MEME would sleep on her belly at night, she had a dozen chickens and three Guinea Hens she loved to watch and listen to she said it would calm her spirit.
Her laughter would be contagious her smile lit up a room her personality was one for books and her attitude would put you in your place. She was a loving soul and would help anyone with anything at any time. She will be greatly missed. She will always be remembered as the smart ass who would keep you on your toes.
A funeral service for Delores will be held at 11:30 am on Tuesday January 2, 2024, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
