Deloris J. Thiel, age 80 of Shawano, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at her home.

Born on September 24, 1938 in Harriman, Tennessee, Deloris was the daughter of the late Dillard and Audrey (Hamilton) Keeney. She was raised by her grandparents, Vernia and Jasper Keeney.  Deloris was united in marriage to Oscar Thiel on July 8, 1956 in Ottumwa, Iowa.  Oscar preceded her in death on December 14, 1995.  Deloris has lived in Shawano since 1960.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed the Green Bay Packers, watching wildlife and spending time with her children, grandchildren and her lovely pups, Pudge and Little Chit.

Deloris is survived by: her four children, Teresa (Leroy) Nelson of Pulaski, Butch (Roxanne) Thiel of Shawano, Tina (Justin) Dickson of Shawano and Tami (John) Busch of DePere.  She is further survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; one brother; and one sister.

Funeral services for Deloris will be held at 1:30 pm on Friday, December 28, 2018 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating. Burial will be in Lake Drive Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 27, 2018 and again on Friday from noon until the time of the service.
