Dennis Michael Ziebart, age 62 of Shawano, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2011 in Rochester. MN. Born on January 23, 1949 in Milwaukee, he was the son of the late Herman and Zada (Boughhammer) Ziebart. After graduating from high school, Dennis enlisted with the United States Marines and served his country for more than three years during the Vietnam War. While in service, he received the Purple Heart. After Honorable Discharge, Dennis worked as a HVAC operator in the hotel business and later at the Clement J. Zablocki VA medical Center until retiring. On February 17, 1998 he was united in marriage to Judith Wildes in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. After vacationing in the Shawano area on the weekends for several years, the couple made it their permanent home in March of 2011. Dennis is survived by: his wife, Judi; 3 daughters, Leslie Wildes of New Berlin, Kellie Hamilton of Milwaukee, Renata Robbins of Milwaukee; several grandchildren; 2 brothers, Gordy Ziebart of New Berlin and Gary Ziebart of TX; and 5 sisters, Priscilla "Sib" Emmons of TX, Jill (nee Spencer) Hernandez of Milwaukee, Ginger (nee Spencer) Miller of Milwaukee, Linda (nee Spencer) and Thelma (nee Spencer) of Milwaukee. In honor of Dennis's wishes, no funeral service will be held. The Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the local arrangements.
