Derrick R. LaTender "D" Mawǣhsaeh – Little Wolf, age 39, of Antigo passed away January 10, 2025. Derrick was born on September 16, 1985, in Shawano, son of Kim and Lynette (Fisher) LaTender. He attended Shawano High School and graduated from Menominee Indian High School in 2004. Derrick had a strong work ethic and started working at the age of 14 until his employment at Menards in Antigo. He enjoyed camping while attending numerous concerts with friends. He cherished living in Madison. Derrick was an avid sports fan, loved fantasy football, March Madness, the Washington Redskins, and was a team member that qualified in a state bowling competition. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Derrick is survived by his parents, Kim and Lynette LaTender; grandmother, Annette LaTender; siblings, Deon LaTender, Kimberly (Ashley Smith) LaTender, and Kelsey (James Pocan) LaTender; and nieces and nephews, King, Rayanna, Kaylupe, Mila Jade, and Melina. He is further survived by several aunts and uncles, other relatives, and friends.

Derrick is preceded in death by grandparents, Donna and Robert Tucker, Cedric Fisher, and Donald LaTender.

A funeral service for Derrick will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Fr. Hanz Christian officiating. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center on Monday, January 13, 2025, from 12:00 pm until the time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery in the spring.
