Derrick Anthony "Jammer" Perez, Sr., age 55, of Keshena, died unexpectedly on Monday, November 2, 2015. Derrick was born on April 15, 1960 to Robert and Anita (Weso) Perez in Keshena. On April 17, 1982, he was united in marriage to Lynnell King in Shawano. Derrick enjoyed being in the woods, cutting firewood, trapping, bear hunting, deer hunting, and spending time with friends at "the shack" during hunting seasons. He owned and operated WJAM Music. He liked oldies music and was well known for the "Jammer dance". He enjoyed going to the Menominee Pow-Wow. Derrick loved being papa to his grandchildren, who were everything to him. Derrick is survived by his wife, the love of his life, Lynnell; seven children, Dodie (Richard) Sechrist, Derrick Perez, Jr., Forrest Perez, Daniel (Noelle) Perez, Miranda (Joe) Gollnow, Nicole Perez, and Luke Perez; eight grandchildren, Will, Loni, Dylan, Eli, Simone, Jada, Jourdan, and Caleb; his parents, Robert and Anita Perez; his brother and sisters, William (Mary) Perez, Nina (Stuart) White, Amy Perez, and Roberta Perez. He is further survived by his friends, Tommy, Pete, Preston, Rosie Gun, Darrel, Mel, and Joe as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandpa and Grandma Weso and Grandpa and Grandma Shorty, all who were very special to him, as well as his good friends, Dondi Dickie and Randy Madosh. A visitation for Derrick will be held at the Neopit Community Center starting at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 5, 2015 and will continue until 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 6, 2015.
