Diane Carol Bauman, age 76 of Gresham, passed away on Thursday, April 1, 2021. Diane was born on December 11, 1944 to the late Clyde and Florence (Kriesel) Zeuske in Clintonville. Diane graduated from Gresham High School in 1963 and from the University of Baltimore with a bachelor's degree. On May 21, 1966, Diane married her high school sweetheart John Bauman in Gresham. Diane traveled with John throughout his government service to Okinawa, South Korea, Hawaii, Maryland, and Ohio. John preceded her in death on March 17, 2017. Diane was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and President of the Altar Guild. Diane loved her family dearly and supported them in any way that she could. When there was no Cub Scouts in the area she started a pack as well as a Brownie Troop. Diane loved to quilt in the winter and donated the quilts to the Gresham School Dollars for Scholars program. She enjoyed golfing in the summer and they took many golf vacations. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Diane is survived by her children, John P. Bauman of Gresham and Jennifer Bauman of Shawano; brother, Doug (Kathy) Zeuske; sister, Debbie (Bruce) Hoeft; and sisters-in-law, Karen Zeuske, Deanna Bauman, Mary Raasch, Jeri (John Brueninger) Bauman, Judy (Jim) Ward, and Carol Bauman. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Dwight Zeuske and Daniel Zeuske; and one sister, Dawn Zeuske.
A funeral service for Diane will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 9, 2021 at The Church of Prayer (Zion Lutheran Church) of Gresham with Rev. Steven Conradt officiating. Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of services. Masks are requested for visitation and services.
