Diane Ethel DeBaker, age 68, of Leopolis, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 after a brief illness.
Diane was born in Shawano, on November 12, 1947, the daughter of the late Orin and Geraldine (Cotter) Neuman.
On January 21, 1967, she was united in marriage to Joseph DeBaker at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Tigerton.
Diane had a big heart, and was always putting others before herself.
She enjoyed sewing, reading, shopping, and spoiling her grandchildren.
She is a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Leopolis.
Diane was a great wife, mother, and grandmother, and is survived by:
her husband of 49 years, Joe; three children, Marsha (Rick) Milhorn of Gray, TN, Brian (Melissa) DeBaker of Wittenberg, and Laura (Robert) Geske of Shawano; "special daughter", Tonia (Freddy) Lagunes of Cecil; six grandchildren, Rebecca and Bonnie Milhorn, Roxanne Barber, Hunter, Alana, and Mariah Krolow; one great-granddaughter, Miya Pawlowski.
She is further survived by her sisters, Linda (David) Fletcher of Wittenberg, Gloria Keen of Birnamwood, and Sherry Kielblock of Scandinavia; her brother, Jeff (Laurie) Neuman of Eland; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Duane "Butch" Neuman and one sister, Peggy Potrykus.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leopolis with Rev. Jose Castaneda officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, with a prayer service at 7:00 pm.
Visitation will be held again at the church on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
