IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dolores Marie
Dyminski
March 21, 1932 – April 16, 2025
Dolores Marie Dyminski, age 93, died peacefully – surrounded by her caregiving angels – at home in Shawano, Wisconsin. Born March 21, 1932, in Milwaukee to the late Anthony Roland and Josephine Rose (Kuss) Dyminski, Dolores was proud of her Polish heritage, enjoyed listening to polka records, and sharing treasured memories of farm life growing up in the Pulaski area.
She loved animals and was an avid bird watcher and collector of ceramic bird statues. Dolores enjoyed her weekly Friday outing routine, religiously walking in any weather ½ mile to Associated Bank where she began her circuit of stops to take care of errands. Shear America, Dreier Pharmacy, Angie's Diner, Hal's Hallmark, Book World and Martin's Jewelers were her Main Street destinations and she had friends to visit at each stop. Many people looked out for Dolores and even made calls to get her a ride to the grocery store and back home – escorted by her beloved City Cab. Summertime meant outings to Shawano Flea Market and stops at her favorite vendors' shops to collect jewelry, farm animal figures and model tractors.
Dolores is survived by extended family cousins, her favorite second cousin, Bonnie Moureau and special friends, Peter and Mary Lisa Carenza-Keenan.
Dolores is preceded in death by her parents; younger sister, Geraldine Jane Dyminski; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and beloved first cousin and best friend, Ann Marie (Matuszeski/Moureau) Minor.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano at 5:00 pm on Monday April 21, 2025, with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday beginning at 4:00 pm. Private burial will be held at Polish National Cemetery in Pulaski.
Deepest gratitude for the caring staff of Sun Valley/Kindred Hearts Shawano for their dedication to Dolores' quality of life since 2020 and to Compassus Hospice for their specialized care these last few months.
