Obituary

Domanique A. Sanapaw, age 26, of Keshena, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Domanique was born on September 11, 1992 in Shawano, son of Dana Schneider and Jamie Sanapaw.  He is a Menominee High School graduate.  Domanique had a passion for music, he enjoyed singing, drumming, and composing his own songs.  He was a sweetheart who seemed to always be smiling.  Being respectful to his elders was important to him and he loved spending time with his family, especially playing with his nephews.  His wonderful spirit and kind heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Domanique is survived by: his mother, Dana (Nahquaseh) Waubanscum of Keshena; his father, Jamie Sanapaw of Florida; his siblings, Amber Sanapaw, Terance Waubanascum, Jerome Waubanascum, Marcel Batiste, Julie Sanapaw, Elaine Sanapaw, Sophiana Sanapaw, and Dakota Hunter; special brothers, Michael Sanapaw, Jr., Dean C. Schneider, Jr., David Swett, Jesus Rodriguez, William Sechrist, and Salvador Hernandez, Jr.; special sisters, Merissa Lyons and Khyla Grignon; grandparents, Evelyn Nacotee and Anita and Carl Miller; Great Grandparents, Alfred and Rose Waubanascum; nephews, Jayden Sanapaw, Princeton Sanapaw, and Lorenzo Warrington, Jr.; Aunts and Uncles, Ruth Sanapaw, Bernard Sanapaw, Roger (Anne) Sanapaw, Bonnie (Max) McKiernan, Robert Aldag, John Aldag, Amy (Dana) Alegria, Dennis (Laurie) Sanapaw, Michael (Ethal) Sanapaw, Sr., Pat (Linda) Schneider, Jr., Dean Schneider, Darrell Schneider,Curt Schneider, Kevin Schneider, Mary Borneman, Alfred Waubanascum, Michelle Miller, Weston Miller, Darrin Miller, Sasha Miller, and Arell and Kevin Schlichting, Jr.; Godparents, Alecia Waupoose, Valerie Katchenago, Jody Pocan, and Dean C. Schneider, Sr.  He is further survived by numerous great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by: grandparents, Patrick Schneider, Sr. and Bennie and Elaine Sanapaw; Great Grandmother Agnes Gauthier; an uncle, Mark Barts; and an aunt Kim Lilyquist.

Domanique's funeral service will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church in Keshena at 1:00pm on Monday, December 31, 2018 with Fr. Nonito Barra officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of the Woods Catholic Cemetery in West Branch.  Visitation will be held at the Dana and Nahquaseh Waubanascum residence located at N890 Lyons Rd. in Keshena from 6:00pm on Saturday, December 29, 2018 until the procession leaves for the church on Monday.  A Parish Wake service will be held at the house at 7:00pm on Sunday.
