Donald S. "Donnie" Baumgartner, age 71, passed away on Sunday July 7, 2024, at his home in Shawano. Donnie was born on May 15, 1953, in Elgin, Illinois to the late Clarence and Bernadine (Pease) Baumgartner. On June 30, 1973, he was united in marriage to June Sauer in Elgin, Illinois. Donnie worked as a truck driver for many years and lived in the Shawano area for 45 years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on his boat "The June Buggy", watching Wisconsin sports, especially the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers with friends, going on trips to Florida with June, measuring fish during local ice fishing derbies at the Bamboo Bar and cooking his family's favorite foods. Donnie loved spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren, three grand dogs, Marshmallow, Oreo and Bandit and his many friends he made along the way.

Donnie is survived by his wife of 51 years, June; daughters, Kristine (Timothy) Lagace of Birchwood, Wisconsin and Tracy Hauch of Mayville, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Kylie Zehren and Kolton Hauch; and siblings, Robert (Robbie) Baumgartner, Richard (Janice) Baumgartner, John (Ann) Baumgartner and Bonnie (Joe) Marlett; and sisters-in-law, Mary Hartman, Jean (significant other, Brian) Sauer Ferron and Donna (Fred) Ermel. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bernadine; in-laws, LaVerne and Annabelle Sauer; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Peggy Baumgartner; and brother-in-law, Harold Hartman.

A celebration of Donnie's life will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday July 12, 2024, at the Bamboo Bar, W5884 Cedar Court Shawano.
