Donald William Elmergreen, age 62 of Bowler, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 9, 2013. Born on March 27, 1951 in Appleton, he was the son of the late Eugene and Marcella Elmergreen. Donald enjoyed collecting antiques, restoring Hit and Miss Gas Engines, playing numerous musical instruments and raising German Shepherds. Donald is survived by: his brothers, Richard (Connie) of Seymour, James (Susan) of Shawano, Edward (Patsy) of Bowler, Dennis (Kandace) of Wausau; a sister-in-law, Valarie of Grand Rapids, MI; and a half-sister, Rosalie Parsons of Stockbridge. Also surviving are: 16 nieces and nephews, Tiffany, Tyler, Christine, Adam, Shannon, Tanya, Tammy, Rachel, Edward Jr., Jeremiah, Justin, Timothy, Jonathan, Courtney, Dennis, Natasha; 3 step nieces and a step nephew, Joan, Carrie, Adam, Sarah; and numerous great nieces and great nephews. Donald is further survived by: aunts and uncles, Marvin (Phyllis) Doxtator, Ann Doxtator, William Doxtator Jr., Daniel Doxtator; and his live long best friend, Alvin Pamanet of Keshena. Donald was preceded in death by: his brother, Michael; a half-brother, David; his parents; and a step-father, Willard Putnam. Memorial services will be held at 12:00noon on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Stockbridge Bible Church in Bowler with the Rev. Ernie Geeting officiating. Inurnment will be in the Stockbridge Indian Burial Grounds. A lunch will follow at the church. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements.
