Donald Leo Heil, age 54, of Gillett, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. He was born to the late Loretta (Ruplinger) and Clifford Heil, Sr. on September 21, 1966, in Wausau, WI. Donald was a middle school teacher at Notre Dame in Chippewa Falls and Sacred Heart in Shawano. He loved being a teacher and making a difference in the lives of children. Donald was a fan of both the Packers and the Brewers. He was a caring man who dearly loved his children, grandchildren and family.

Donald is survived by his children; Shannon (Jesse) Rickard, Ryan Heil, Jordan Heil, and his brothers and sisters; Clifford (Betty) Heil Jr., Joyce Heil, Daniel (Pat) Heil, Jean (Bill) Wolfe, Robert (Judy) Heil, Larry (Sally) Heil, Sue (Jim) Ward, Gerald (Lori) Heil, Ken (Kathy) Heil, Mark Heil, Christine (Jim) Hajdu, sister-in-law, Diane Heil, and his former wife, Polly Ebbinger. He is further survived by four grandchildren.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Michael and James.

A memorial gathering is being planned for a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
