Donald Clarence Otto, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, in Neenah. He was born on October 31, 1936, to the late Clarence and Irene (Schroeder) Otto in Shawano. Donald graduated from Gresham High School in 1954. He served in the United States Air Force. On June 11, 1960, he was united in marriage with Shirley Peters in Shawano. Donald lived most of his life in Neenah and worked for 39 ½ years at James River until his retirement in 1999. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. Donald was a member of Peace United Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley, children: Steven (Carrie) Otto, Jayne (Daniel) McQuillan, Michael Otto, four grandchildren: Meghan Swan, Maria McQuillan, Parker McQuillan, and Bryce Otto, a brother and sister: David (Konnie) Otto and Sharon (Martin) Buss, and brother-in-law, Denton Ebert. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Linda Ebert.

A memorial service for Shirley and Donald will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano at 11:00am on Saturday, May 14, 2022.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of the service.  Military Honors for Don will be conducted at the funeral home following the service.  Inurnment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
