Donald J. "Pinky" Pecore, age 72 of Shawano, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at a local nursing home. Born on August 5, 1939 in Keshena, he was the son of the late George and Cora (Peters) Pecore. Donald lived in the Neopit area most of his life where he worked at the Menominee Tribal Enterprise Lumber Mill. He was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit. In his free time he enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo, fishing, gardening, and being outdoors. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. Donald is survived by: 2 children, Mary (special friend, Gary) Pecore of Shawano, Cora Pecore of Green Bay; and a brother, Tom (Sally) Pecore of Waupaca. Donald was preceded in death by: his parents; and several brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. Robert Rank officiating. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery following cremation. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Wednesday from 4-8pm and at the church on Thursday after 10am until the time of the service.
