Donald Lester Teske, age 81, of Township of Pella, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2020, in Brown County, surrounded by the compassionate care givers at Patient Pines Assisted Living and AseraCare Hospice.  It has been a difficult, heartbreaking battle during Covid19, but Don fought a long courageous battle against his Lewy Body Dementia with his family by his side.

Don was born on June 12, 1939, in the Town of Bear Creek, Waupaca County.  He was the son of the late Clarence and Anita (Fredrick) Teske. Don was united in marriage to Mary Ann Rysewyk on July 2, 1960 at St. John Lutheran Church Hermansfort. The couple was married for 58 endearing years and lived in Shawano County for their entire marriage.  Mary devoted her final years caring for Don with his dementia until she entered her final resting place on April 10, 2019.

Don was a hardworking and devoted family man.  He started his long working career as a foundry worker in Milwaukee, which is where he met his soulmate Mary.  He went to Bertram's Auto and FWD in Clintonville before beginning his long career in 1966 at Marion Body Works, Inc., in which he retired from in 2005 after 39 years of hard work.

Don enjoyed the outdoors, everything from working on demo cars with the boys to deer and turkey hunting, bear hunting with his son Roger and all the Bass fishing tournaments he could do.  Don was a lifelong member of the Shawano Bassmasters. He enjoyed his flowers and the garden that he planted every year.  Before Mary's passing, Don and Mary enjoyed watching all the deer and turkeys from their patio window and spending time with their dogs Buster, Tuffy and Skippy, which kept them busy as they enjoyed their retirement years together.

Don is survived by his two sons, Roger (Cindy) Teske and Greg (Jackie) Teske, step-grandson Justin Scott and one brother, Gerald Teske.

Don is preceded in death by his wife, Mary, parents Clarence and Anita Teske, his father and mother in law, Casey and Doris (Dunst) Rysewyk, brother in law Albert (Charlotte) Rysewyk and sister-in-law Evelyn (Harry) Tischauser.

Funeral services for Don will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 11:00 am at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano, with Rev. Steve Conradt officiating. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Church Hermansfort Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of service. Face masks will be required.
