Donald Ward, age 74 of Green Bay, passed away at his home unexpectedly of natural causes on Friday, March 30, 2012 in Green Bay. Born on March 3, 1938 in Bonduel, he was the son of the late John and Florence (Bunkleman) Ward. Donald grew up in the Bonduel area and attended Bonduel Schools. In December of 1956 he was united in marriage to June Meisel in Clintonville. Donald worked as a cheese maker at Outagamie Produce Cooperative in Black Creek. He was also a proud member of AA for the past 31 years. When not working, Donald enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, listening to country music, riding motorcycles and going on vacation with his family. The most important thing in Donald's life was his family. He was a loving father and caring grandfather and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Donald is survived by: his former wife, June; 5 children, Diana (Ken) Jensen, Carol (Rick) Luedtke, Linda (Bill) Teske and Susan Ward all of Clintonville, and Thomas (significant other, Nancy) Ward of Green Bay; 6 grandchildren, Danielle (fiancé, Erik Goslawski) Luedtke of Burlington, Reggie Luedtke of Mount Horeb, Spencer Luedtke of Stevens Point, Rob Teske of Shawano, Tyler Teske of Clintonville, Nicole Jensen of Green Bay ; and a brother, James (Stephona) Ward of Green Bay. Donald was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Richard Ward; and a sister, Helen Elsner. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with the Rev. Bill Ochs officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Lawn Cemetery.
