Donna Habeck, Town of Wescott, passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 93. She was born in Shawano to Edward and Elsie (Jahr) Heling on September 28, 1932.

Donna married her soulmate and love of her life, Willis Habeck, October 6, 1956. They were married 64 years at the time of his death. They made their first home on a farm in Tilleda before moving to Shawano Lake. Donna and her husband owned and operated the skating concession at the Shawano County Park for 15 years until they purchased The Black Diamond Bar and Restaurant (later renamed The Coachlight) which they operated for 20 years before retiring. Their love story was one of deep connection — where you saw one, you saw both of them. They worked together all their lives. First farming and in the roller rink where they first met and later at their bar and restaurant at Shawano Lake. She enjoyed their trips to Canada to fish, yearly trips to Las Vegas and their many vacations to tour the US, the Caribbean and Mexico.

Donna loved to play cards and, when they were in the Coachlight, shot pool on her ladies’ team. She loved animals and fed any stray that came onto the porch.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, her parents, and her siblings 2 brothers. Harold and Marlin Heling, 3 sisters, Elinora Brown of Waukesha, Luella Herm of Shawano, and Adeline Shores of Shawano. She is survived by her son, Randy (Mary) Bluemke of Shawano and daughter, Brenda Habeck of Oceanside, CA as well as many nieces and nephews.

Donna was a member of the Salem Methodist Church in Red River.
