Donna Krusell, age 67, of Shawano, passed away on January 18, 2023. She was born on September 18, 1956, to Willard Kriefall and Gertrude (Kuehn) Zander in Shawano. After graduating from high school, she traveled to California and later to New Mexico. In 1975 she returned to Wisconsin. Donna worked at the Olga Brenner School until her retirement in 2012. She was a member of St. James Lutheran Church for many years. She enjoyed gardening, especially all her different flowers and plants. Inside she grew beautiful Christmas cacti and African violets. Donna also loved bird watching and made sure that all her numerous bird feeders were full. She will be dearly missed for her humor, wisdom, kindness, and caring personality. She was a loving woman and will remain in our hearts.

Donna is survived by: her parents Willard and Gertrude; sisters, Linda (Robert) Anderson, of Green Bay, Ruth Paterick, of Shawano, Barabara Gast, of Tennessee, Nancy (George) Gift, of Shawano, and Carol Heinlein, of Glidden. She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, other relatives, and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents  Alvin and Malinda Kriefall, and her maternal grandparents Fred and Molly Kuehn.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday January 23, 2024, at Swedberg Funeral home with Pastor Scott Ludford officiating. Visitation will begin Tuesday at 9:30 am at the funeral home until the time of service.
