Donna M. Reinke (Mauel), age 85, of Shawano, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 25, 2024, in Shawano. Donna was born in Neenah on July 31, 1939, daughter of the late Ervin and Erma (Schroth) Turkow. She was united in marriage to Richar Mauel on September 5, 1959, and enjoyed many years together until his passing on January 27, 1978. She later married Jack Reinke on July 9, 1988, and enjoyed 31 years together until his passing August 31, 2019.

Donna enjoyed a long 30+ year career at Shawano High School working in the English Resource Center and later the library. She was able to watch her children grow and learn. Donna loved watching sporting events of her children and later her grandchildren throughout her life and rarely if ever missed a game. Her family was her number one priority in her life and she loved them all dearly. She also loved Christmas and gathering the family together to celebrate. In her early years she enjoyed golfing, walking miles upon miles, and bowling.

Donna is survived by: her children, Dan Mauel, Shawano, Deborah (Robert) Jacobson, Shawano, Dean Mauel, Shawano, Steve (Lana) Reinke, Shawano, and Melissa (Joseph Johnson) Hagel, Green Bay. Her beloved grandchildren are, Stephen (Nicole) Jacobson, Kyle (Katie) Jacobson, Joseph (Noah) Jacobson, Kyle (Katie) Reinke, Tyler Reinke, Jordan (Brandy Reigert) Reinke, Drew Hagel, Mya Hagel, Amy (Ed) Jones and Nancy (Sohail) Djariri. She is further survived by numerous great grandchildren, friends and loved ones.

Donna is preceded in death by her husbands, Richard and Jack, her parents, her sister, Carol, and daughter-in-law, Marie.

A funeral service for Donna will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano at 5:00pm on Friday, November 1, 2024, with Deacon Todd Raether officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00pm until the time of the service.  A private burial will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org.
