IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna M.
Veigh
April 18, 1949 – December 27, 2022
Donna Marie Veigh, age 73 of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022.
Donna was born on April 18, 1949, in Nashotah, Wisconsin, the daughter of Phyllis (Kuehn) Paske, and the late Alvin Paske. After being introduced to a "bad boy" with a big heart, Donna and Thomas Allen Veigh quickly fell in love and were married on May 8, 1971, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hartland, and were happily married for 41 years. Donna always thought Tom was an excellent listener, and she missed their endless conversations, since his death on May 22, 2012. Tom treated Donna like a queen.
The couple called Oconomowoc home until moving to their vacation home in Marion, followed by Shawano in 2004, where they purchased a condominium next to her sister, Sandy. Donna and her sister were very close.
Donna was an extremely talented quilter, knitter, baker, and made numerous Harley Davidson quilts. She also loved riding on the back of the Harley with her husband Tom.
She was a very devoted and loving person with such a kind heart, and always there for her family. She also loved becoming a Grandma to her four grandsons! She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her. She was and always will be adored in their hearts!
Donna was also a devoted member of Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Shawano. She had an unshakeable faith and kept strong knowing she would once again be united with Tom.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Shelly Haese of Watertown; son, Thomas Allen Veigh II of Green Bay; four grandchildren, Blake and Mason Haese, Alex and Anthony Veigh; mother, Phyllis Paske of Shawano; sister, Sandy Milivojac of Shawano; former son-in-law, Justin Haese and daughter-in-law, Candi Veigh; brothers-in-law, David (Margie) Schmidt and Brian Johnson; and her Godson (son of Brian), James "Jimmy" Johnson. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom; her father, Alvin; and her sister-in-law, Janice Johnson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2023 at Divine Savior Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Caleb Rothfuss officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established at Shawano County Humane Society.
