Obituary

Donna Jean Weishoff, age 88, of Cloverleaf Lakes and Shawano, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Born on July 7, 1930 in the Town of Lessor, Donna was the daughter of the late Adolph and Ethel (Weisnicht) Blom.  Donna was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in the Town of Lessor and graduated from Seymour High School.  On June 17, 1950 she was united in marriage to Loyal E. Weishoff at Trinity Lutheran Church in Green Bay.  Loyal and Donna owned and operated the Embarrass Sand and Gravel Pit as well as the Cloverleaf Go Kart Track.  Donna was an active member of Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville for 55 years, where she taught Sunday school, vacation bible school, and adult bible studies.  Donna held a variety of offices with the ALCW, and traveled on mission trips to several areas in Asia and Africa.  Donna and Loyal loved to entertain friends and family and hosted numerous international guests throughout the years.  Donna and Loyal often referred to their home of 60 years as "paradise", where they were able to look onto the lake and watch the variety of wildlife gather on their lawn.  In their retirement years, they also enjoyed the chalet that they built on the waterfront.  Donna enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, reading, gardening, playing cards, dice, and dominos, and following the Brewers and Packers.  More than anything she loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren's sporting events.

Donna is survived by: two daughters, Jeri Lee (Mike) Montour and Jeanne (Mike) Rueckert both of Shawano; four grandchildren, Jessica (Brian Robinson) of Austin, Texas, Rich (fiancé Elsa Moz Cruz) Montour of Shawano, Perry (fiancé Katherine Hansen) Rueckert of Shawano, and Rebecca (Bill) Marohl of Shawano; great grandchildren, Bryce Marohl, Kayleigh Hansen, Fernanda Moz Cruz, Jackson, Addilynn, and Logan Rueckert; two brothers, Douglas (Vivian) Blom of Ft. Atkinson and Gerald (Gloria) Blom of Green Bay; a brother-in-law, Laverne Weishoff of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Leila Skorczewski of Green Bay; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by: her husband, Loyal, on November 5, 2010; a grandson, Mic Montour; her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Ralph Reeves; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Elyn and Loren "Jiggs" Griswold; sister-in-law, Kathleen Weishoff; and brother-in-law, Jan Skorczewski.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 1254 S. Union St. in Shawano, at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 6, 2019 with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating. Visitation and reception will be held at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.

Over the last six year it's been difficult for Donna's friends and family to watch her health decline from Alzheimer's, but Donna always knew everyone and still enjoyed visiting with family and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff and caregivers of The Cottages on Golden Pond and Maple Lane in Shawano.
