Doris Lavon Rugalski, age 94, passed away at her home on Tuesday, October 22, 2013. Born on August 14, 1919 in Freeport, IL, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Mirium (Musser) Marle. She married Edward Rugalski in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1973. Doris was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano. Doris is survived by: her daughter, Diane Rugalski; her brother, Dr. Ted (Linda) Frank of Champaign, IL; nephews, Matthew (Cate) Frank and Andrew (Dana) Frank all of Chicago, IL; and a niece, Catherine Frank of Springfield, IL. Doris was preceded in death by: her husband, Edward; her parents; and a sister, Audrey Marle. A graveside service will be held in Freeport, IL. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Doris's name to the Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano or the Shawano County Humane Society. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting with the local arrangements.
