Dorothea Jane Lindner, age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Oakhaven Assisted Living in Shawano. She was born on December 21, 1941, in Shawano, Wisconsin to Hubert and Sylvia (Debban) Lindner. She was baptized at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church on January 18 and was confirmed on March 25, 1956, at St. James Lutheran Church. Dorothea started school at Forest Haven, a one-room country school. For grades, three through eight and attended St. James Lutheran School in Shawano. She graduated from Shawano High School in 1961. She was in the band, a member of the National Honor Society and Future Homemakers of America. A lifelong member of St. Jakobi Lutheran Church, her faith was very strong. Dorothea's life was highlighted by singing in the choir and was a member of Ladies Aide. She worked with her parents on their farm in the Town of Richmond. Dorothea loved her family especially her long-time companion dog, Dora.

Dorothea is survived by her brother, Bob (Kathy) Lindner; sister-in-law, Barbara Lindner; nieces and nephews, Laura Habeck-Price, Linda Jaskolwski, Rene Mullen, Tina Mason, Kathryn Kuhn, Larry Lindner, Lance Lindner, Royce Lindner and Stuart Graf.

Dorothea is preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Sylvia; brother, Gordon Lindner; and sister, Nancy Kuhn.

A memorial service for Dorothea will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church with Rev. Travis Kleinschmidt officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. Inurnment will be held at the church cemetery following the service.
