Obituary

Dorothy M. Gueller, age 104, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 at home surrounded by her family. Dorothy was born in Shawano on September 8, 1912, the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Emma (Echtner) Jensen.  She graduated from Shawano High School in 1929.  On May 28, 1938, Dorothy was united in marriage to Harold H. Gueller in Shawano.  He preceded her in death on September 19, 1991.  Dorothy earned her Associate's Degree in Library Science and worked at the Shawano Library for many years.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Jon (Betty) Gueller of Cedarburg, Lawrence (Marilyn) Gueller of Keshena, Julie (Dale) Huebner of Shawano, Frederick (Judy) Gueller of Pulaski, Jane (Elwyn) Rank of Cecil, Ann (Tom) Ammerman of Gillett; nine grandchildren, many loving great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Hafemann of Shawano.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her parents and two sisters.
A family graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano with Mr. Richard Menning officiating. Memorials in Dorothy's name may be given to Shawano Library.

Dorothy's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the private care nurses, Jayne and Becky, for their outstanding, loving care given to Dorothy; as well as a thank you to ThedaCare Hospice.
