Dorothy Mae Seering, age 88 of Byron, MN, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 19, 1924 in Embarrass, she was the daughter of the late William and Louise (Koeller) Hildebrandt. Dorothy grew up in Embarrass and attended Wolf River School. Later the family moved to the Bonduel area where Dorothy met her future husband, Roland. On June 23, 1946 the couple was married in Bonduel. They ran a dairy farm in the area and Dorothy also worked at Wolf's IGA. In her free time, Dorothy enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. In her later years, Dorothy enjoyed living at Hillside Apartments in Bonduel. For the past seven year, she made her home with her son, Gary in Bryon and received special care from her daughter-in-law, Debbie. Dorothy is survived by: 3 daughters, Carol (Eugene) Pribnow of Portage, Linda (Jeff) Bosetski of Cecil, Alice Popp of Shawano; 1 son, Gary (Debbie) Seering of Byron, MN; 9 grandchildren, Phil (Chris), Philayne, Philecia, David, Dustin, Greg (Kris), Tina (Jeff), Brenda (Scott), Jenny (Jeff); and 9 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Alex, Kaitlyn, Evan, Blake, Derek, Austin, Alexandria and Zachary. She is further survived by: 2 sisters, Selma Buettner of Shawano, Leila (Willie) Little of Gresham; a brother, Ray Hildebrandt of Bonduel; 4 sisters-in-law, Marion Hildebrandt of Neenah, Lorraine Hildebrandt of Waupaca, Rosie Kirschling of Menasha, Lilas Sheleski of Menasha; and 2 brothers-in-law, Allie Christ of Gresham and Donald Seering of Sheboygan. Dorothy was preceded in death by: her husband, Roland Seering on June 17, 1985; her parents; 4 brothers, Elmer, Lawrence, Clarence, Carl; and 2 sisters, Jeanette and Shirley. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Zion United Methodist Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Jerry Cho officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm and at the church on Thursday from 10:00am until the time of the service. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
