Drew Hagel, age 19, of Green Valley to Pulaski to Peshitigo and all of the places in between left us unexpectedly with his girlfriend, Paige Radzinski, on October 22, 2026. Drew was born on February 20, 2007, at Shawano Hospital to Melissa (Reinke, Hagel) Johnson and Adam Hagel.
Drew’s love of tractors and farming began at birth and quickly became a lifelong obsession. If it had to do with a motor or machinery, Drew wanted to drive it or take it apart. It was a rare occasion to find Drew without grease or dirt covering him unless he was playing hockey, in which case he was covered in sweat. Throughout his hockey years, he was recognizable by his long hair, which eventually gave way to the mullet of his teenage years. We could say he was recognizable by his vehicle, but chances are he had already found a “better one on Marketplace” that he was planning to go pick up. Drew had a fierce love for his sister and a helpful hand to all of his friends. His kind heart and quick wit drew people to him and everyone knew of “Drew Hagel” even if you didn’t know him personally.
He is survived by his parents Melissa (Joe) Johnson and Adam Hagel; sister, Mya Hagel; paternal grandparents, Susan (Bruce) Hein and Randall (Shari) Hagel; aunts and uncles, Steve (Lana) Reinke, Tyler (Amy) Rasmussen, Justin (Tina) Rasmussen, Jesse (Tasha) Hagel, Michael (Hailey) Hagel, Kimberly (Phillip) Noll; and many cousins. He is further survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
Drew is preceded in death by his childhood best friend and grandfather “Papa” Jack Reinke: Great Aunts, Rita Trinko and Carol Oestrich; and Great Grandparents, Jim and Patricia VandenBrook.
Please join us for a celebration of Drew’s life on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 11:00am at Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with Pastor David Ticks officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 2, 2026, from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and again on Tuesday from 9:30am until the time of the service.
