Duane "Skip" Read, age 80, of Bonduel, passed away in Green Bay on Sunday, January 31, 2021.  Skip was born in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin on December 4, 1940, son of the late Donald and Marion (Schofield) Read.  Skip graduated from Plymouth High School.  In 1959 he was united in marriage to Billie Jo Hawkins in Plymouth.  Skip worked as a union steam fitter for over 50 years.  His job took him all over the country, he and Billie Jo lived in Missouri, Minnesota, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Wisconsin.  In his free time Skip was an avid hunter, hunting deer and elk.  Skip was quite a character and had a great sense of humor and a contagious laugh.  He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Skip is survived by: his wife of over 60 years, Billie Jo; his children, David Read of Wyoming and Dianne (Jay) Read-Jackson of Altoona; two grandchildren, Rachel Read and Ryan Jackson; and siblings,  Janet Stevenson of Whitewater, Debra (Dutch) Reinke of Bonduel, and Fredrick Read of New Mexico.  He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lianne and his parents.
