Dustin L. Dickenson, age 51, of Waukesha, formerly of Menominee county, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Milwaukee. He was born on August 28, 1969 to Marleen Fowler. In 1972 he was welcomed and raised in the home of Robert and Eleanor Riesterer. Dustin graduated from Menominee High School in 1988. After high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served for four years, which included his service during Operation Desert Storm. After completion of his enlistment, he worked several jobs on the reservation, he was a Blackjack dealer for the Menominee Casino and worked for Aarrowcast in Shawano. Dustin was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He enjoyed reading, fishing and making people laugh.
Dustin is survived by; his children, Destiney Dickenson, Dustin (Laci) Dickenson, Jr. and Lacota Dickenson; his companion, Tracie; five grandchildren. Harmony, Nick, Melany, Theo and Izabella; siblings, Bob (Kelly), Sue, Mike (Mary), Lynn, Mick (Sandy), Luanne, Joan, Angie, Robin and Sandra. He is further survived by nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marleen, Robert and Eleanor Riesterer and siblings, Jeff, Llewellyn and Jackie.
Prayer services for Dustin will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Military honors will be conducted by the Keshena American Legion and the Veterans of the Menominee Nation. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from 3 pm to until the time of service.
The family of Dustin would like to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff at the Clement J. Zablocki Veterans Hospital in Milwaukee for his care. They would also like to thank his companion Tracie for all the love and care given to him.
