Earl G. Lundmark, age 86 of Shawano, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2014 in Shawano. Earl was born on November 19, 1927 in Amery, WI to the late Lenus and Marie (Hanson) Lundmark. On February 17, 1951, Earl was united in marriage to Patricia H. Elliott in Minneapolis. She preceded him in death on September 19, 1998. After graduating from the University of Wisconsin Superior, Earl enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving from 1947-1949 and continued proudly serving his country from 1950-1954 in the U.S. Airforce. He was a 50 year member of the Shawano American Legion. Earl was the Director of Shawano County Social Services for over 20 years. He served as Treasurer for the Shawano Sanitation District around Shawano Lake. He was both a Green Bay Packer fan and MN Viking fan, as well as a Milwaukee Brewers fan. Earl is survived by his children, Jeffrey Lundmark of Shawano, Bradley (Rose Schultz) Lundmark of Milwaukee, Ann Lundmark of Shawano and 2 grandsons, Christopher and Nicholas. Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #117. Visitation will be held on Tuesday at 10:00am until the time of the service.
