Obituary

Edgar A. "Mort" Gardner, Sr., age 70, of Bowler, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in Shawano. He was born in the Town of Red Springs on December 25, 1946 to the late Charles and Joyce (Doxtator) Gardner.  Mort enjoyed playing cribbage, horseshoes, golf, and listening to music.  He also enjoyed, finding and pressing people's "buttons".  He loved socializing with family and friends, which included the occasional PBR.
Mort is survived by: his former wife, Sharon Creapeau Gardner; 11 children, Florence (Kenneth) Ninham, Sr., Jack Burke, Guy Allen Vallier, Cheryl Vallier, Mark (Glenda) Vallier, Raymond Vallier, Edgar "Mort" Gardner, Jr., Delores Gardner Meek, Charles Gardner, Violet Gardner and Thomas Gardner; his siblings, Kathryn Gardner Robinson, Dan (Gin) Gardner Robinson, Jeannie Shilts, and Larry (Kristine) Schultz.  He is further survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Mylan K. "Mike" Gardner and two sisters, Patricia Azzolina and Marsha Kotlov.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 27, 2017 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with Rev. Roy Rinehard officiating. Burial will be in the Red Springs Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
