Flessert, age 86, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2015 and joined her loved ones in heaven. Edith was born on August 29, 1928 in Madison, the daughter of the late Alfred and Dorothy (Neu) Denton. Edith was united in marriage to Fred Flessert on September 13, 1946. Fred preceded her in death on July 10, 2003. Edith was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano. She was a very kind and sweet woman who will be missed by all who knew her. Edith is survived by her children, Dan (Diane) Flessert of Shawano, Rose Flessert of Shawano and Gary Flessert of CA., 6 grandchildren, Sara Flessert, Elizabeth (Nick Brady) Flessert, Diane Flessert, Kristie (Robert) Voechting, Kevin (Kristi) Flessert and Nicole (Fiance Louis Moses) Flessert, many great-grandchildren, 1 brother, John Barden of Waunakee, 1 sister, Marilyn Rowin of West Field, and 1 brother-in-law, Ron (Deidra) Butz of IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 children, Rueben and Diane, 2 sisters, Dolores and Carol, 1 brother, Alfred, a special sister-in-law, Stella and her former husband, Fred Flessert. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Giselle Berninghaus officiating. Visitation will at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
