Edith M. Santerno, age 78, of Neopit, passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Shawano. She was born on October 24, 1941, in Keshena, to the late Francis and Mary (Kaquatosh) Waupoose. Edith was a seamstress by trade, she handmade dancing regalia for local dancers, beaded baptismal feathers and fathers stoles at church. Edith generously volunteered her time at church, Toys for Tots, and was a craft leader at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit. She enjoyed going to the casino and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Edith enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, but was known by everyone as Grandma E. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Edith is survived by her children, Alfred (Tracy Kakwitch) Waupoose of Keshena, Kathy Waupoose of Neopit, and Austin Waupoose of Neopit; grandchildren, Mindy, Anthony "A.J.", Manih, Melvin, and Bryce; great-grandchildren, Kaylin and Francis; special niece, Paula Waupoose; as well as many nieces, nephews, "adopted" grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Melvin and Francis "Pooch"; sisters, Mildred and Evelyn Kay; nephews, Wayne, Dana, and Spike; and a niece, Sherry.

A funeral service for Edith will be held at 10:00 am, on Friday, July 3, 2020, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Fr. Nonito Barra officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Kathy Waupoose Residence, N3640 2 ^nd Avenue, Neopit, beginning on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at 3:00 pm until the time of the procession to the church on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 9:30 am.
