Obituary
Edna Emily Buettner, age 95, of Shawano, formerly of Gresham, passed away on Monday, October 17, 2016 in Shawano.
Born on July 18, 1921 in Town of Belle Plaine, she was the daughter of the late Otto and Ella (Heling) Teske. On August 23, 1947, Edna was united in marriage to Rueben Albert Buettner in the Town of Herman.
He preceded her in death on February 1, 1988.
Edna resided in Gresham since 1951, and worked for the Woodlawn Restaurant in Gresham for over 22 years as well as for the Gresham School for over 21 years.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham where she was very active with the Ladies Aid and the Gresham Woman's Club.
Edna is survived by her daughter, Doreen (Dan) Holmes of PA; son, Allen (Nancy) Buettner of Gresham; one son-in-law, Edgar Jung III of Clintonville; 10 grandchildren, Heather Holmes, Joshua (Amanda) Holmes, Eddie (Angie) Jung, Cathy (Mike) Michonski, Elmer Jung, Eric Jung, Jason Buettner, Ryan (Joylyn) Malueg, Mindy (Tony) Walker and Craig Malueg and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rueben; one daughter, Faye Jung; her parents; and siblings, Lavern (Frank) Cerveny, Rhienhart (Betty) Teske and Robert (Judy) Teske.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church in Gresham with Rev. John C. Eyer officiation.
Burial will be in Zion Rest Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham from 4:00 – 7:00 pm and again at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of the services.
