Edna M. Hoppe, 98, of Shawano, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2020. Edna was born on October 26, 1921, in Clintonville, daughter of the late Verona Buss and William Borchardt. On June 27, 1942, Edna was united in marriage to Roy Arthur Hoppe, Sr. at St. Martin Lutheran Church in Clintonville. They enjoyed their married life raising their family in the town of Pella. Roy Sr. preceded her in death on April 4, 1997.

Edna is survived by her daughters, LaVonne Pieper of Shawano and Sheryl (Robert) Buettner of Gresham; daughter-in-law, Mary Hoppe of Marion; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren; as well as other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her sons, Roy Jr. and Ronald; son-in-law Willard Pieper; and one grandson.

A funeral service for Edna will be held at 11:00 am, on Monday, July 13, 2020, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Tim Lofgren officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery in the town of Pella. Visitation will be held on Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
