Elaine Gueths, age 87, of Shawano, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Evergreen Nursing Home. Elaine was born on October 28, 1931, in Shawano, to the late Ewald and Margaret (Strutz) Beilfuss. She grew up on the family farm. On June 26, 1954, Elaine was united in marriage to Arnold "Arnie" Gueths at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Together they owned Arnie's Electric and Refrigeration for 55 years. Arnie preceded Elaine in death in 2001. She was employed by the Shawano Leader for over 20 years and then retired from the Menominee Casino Resort at the age of 79. Elaine enjoyed traveling with Arnie and their sons, Larry and Bob, when they were younger. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to country music, and watching polka on television. Elaine was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Elaine is survived by: her two sons, Larry (Dawn) Gueths and Bob Gueths both of Shawano; her five grandchildren, Tami (Luke Urban) Cornelius, Tonya (Julian Perez) Lowe, Heather (Dave) Hoffman, Joshua Gueths, and Ashley (Jacob) Hartmann; her seven great-grandchildren, Dean, McKenzie, Lexus, Nathan, Breeana, Riley, and Harlynn; her brother Gerald (Pat) Beilfuss; and her sister-in-law, Delila Clark. Elaine is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Arnold; her parents; her siblings, Marvin (Beatrice), Harry (Wilma), Allen (Adeline), Jim, and Ruth; and sister-in-law, Violet.
A funeral service will be held for Elaine at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at St. James Lutheran Church with Rev. Mark Drengler. Burial will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at St. James Lutheran Church from 9:30 am until the time of service.
