Obituary

Eleanor "Ellie" Hull, age 88, was born on October 26, 1935, daughter of late George and Anna (Stezenski) Dillenburg returned to her heavenly father on Monday April 15, 2024. She attended a rural country school for her primary education and graduated from Shawano High School. In 1955, Ellie graduated from Theda Clark Practical Nursing School in Neenah and furthered her education by attending Northeast Technical College. She married Emerson "Em" Hull her high school sweetheart on September 5, 1956.

The couple were blessed with three children, Rozann Hull, David (Debbie) Hull and Michael Hull. Ellie has five grandchildren, Kerrie (David) Marquardt, Bonnie Wudstrack, Melanie (Ryan) Biese, Mindy (Kevin) Lohff and Joshua (fiancée Caitlin Ryczkowski); eight great-grandchildren, Landon and Payton Marquardt, Trevor and Lily Wudstrack, Dominick and Isabella Biese and Brody and Logan Lohff, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, a special niece Patty; her sister, Dorothy (Ike) Bernadt; and her sister-in-law, Barbara Dillenburg.

Ellie is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Emerson Hull, who also died in April of last year. We could say that Ellie died of a broken heart, but she is now happy in heaven planting flowers and fishing with Em; and her brother, Richard Dillenburg.

Ellie enjoyed doing many different crafts including flower arrangements, basket weaving and paper mâché. She loved gardening, planting flowers, doing puzzles, antiquing, fishing, thrifting and helping others. Ellie treasured many happy memorials with her friends April, Gloria and Lois while traveling, antiquing and shopping.

A memorial Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday April 25, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano, with Fr. Edward Looney officiating. A gathering of friends and family will be held on Thursday at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service. A Christian burial when Ellie will be joining Em Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorials maybe directed to a Sacred Heart School Scholarship Fund or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (where Ellie has been donating to for over 35 years).

"Mom, the love and knowledge you shared with us will never be forgotten."
