Eleanor Martin, age 82, of Gresham, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2014. She was born on March 4, 1932 in the Town of Seneca to the late Louis J. and Sophronia (Doxtator) Hammer. On August 2, 1948 she was united in marriage to Harvey Martin who preceded her in death on August 14, 2000. Eleanor is survived by: her children, Jahne Martin of Tacoma, WA., Carol Doxtator of Weston, William Martin of Dodgeville, Darwin Martin of Bowler, Lisa (Neal) Stevens of Gresham and Amber (Steve) Strasburg Belzer of Jefferson; 16 grandchildren, Grant, Roy, Schyler, Sophie, Shane, Sydney, Kenneth, Dayland, Chevy, Shannon, Lavender, David, Richard, Veronica, Ronni and Andy; many great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Lois (Mel) Siim, Brenda Curtis, Wayne (Cheryl) Malone and John Malone. Eleanor was preceded in death by: her husband, Harvey; 4 children, Greg, Robert, Mary and Sandra; 1 grandson, B.G.; and siblings, Donna, Velma and Otho. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the Red Springs Town Hall.
