Eleanor M. Schaefer, age 89 of Shawano, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at a local nursing home. Born on May 24, 1923 in Neopit, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Christine (Kaquatosh) O'Connor. On April 4, 1972 she was united in marriage to Paul Schaefer in Milwaukee. Paul preceded her in death on September 5, 1978. Eleanor is survived by: a daughter-in-law, Katherine Schultz; 2 granddaughters, April and Wendy; and 4 great-grandchildren, Alexa, Anthony, Nathan and Trevor. Eleanor was preceded in death by: her husband, 3 children, Spencer, Robert, Beverly; her parents; and her brothers and sisters. In honor of Eleanor's wishes, no funeral service will be held. Entombment will be in the Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum in the Town of Kossuth in Manitowoc County.
