Obituary

Eleanore Maxine "Ellie" Fairchild, age 77, of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in Shawano. Ellie was born in Two Rivers on March 27, 1939, the daughter of the late Willard and Minnie (Pinter) Statler. She served our country by enlisting in the United States Army. Ellie was an avid animal lover, and believed strongly in equal opportunity for all animals. She enjoyed playing pool, darts, gardening, and painting, but more than anything she loved spending time with her family.

Ellie is survived by: her six children, Rose Christensen, Marilyn Gaedtke, Gina (Steve) Rosinsky, David (Jackie) Flemal, Jeff (Sandy) Brantmeier, and Lori (Tim) Vomastic as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by infant son, Cory; two brothers, Willard, Jr. and LeRoy; and one sister, Marilyn.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Scott Statler officiating. Burial will be in the Mountain Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of the service.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kindred Hearts of Shawano and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for all the love and support given to Ellie.
