Obituary

Elizabeth M. "Baby Girl" Waubanascum, age 78, of Keshena, passed away on January 2, 2018 in Shawano. She was born north of Zoar on May 20, 1939 to the late Miles and Nellie (Pamanet) Sturdevant.  Elizabeth was married to William Julius.  After his passing, she married John Waubanascum who preceded her in death in 1975.  Elizabeth enjoyed playing slots at the casino and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.  She also had political interests in the welfare of the Menominee Tribe.
Elizabeth is survived by: eight children, Abigail Julius of Madison, William Julius, Jr. of Green Bay, Virgil Julius of Madison, Robert Julius of Green Bay, Jarada Julius-Herrera of Neopit, Elizabeth Julius-Boivin of Oconto Falls, Edmere (Ellsworth) Kelley, Sr. of Neopit and John Waubanascum of Bowler; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Norbert Sturdevant; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Julius; her second husband, John Waubanascum; her daughter, Bernadine Julius; two grandchildren, Jennifer Julius and Ellsworth Kelley, Jr.; her parents; brothers, Michael, Adam, Mitchell, Joe and Sam Sturdevant; and sister, Esther Pocan.
Funeral services for Elizabeth will be held at 2:30 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the Neopit Community Center with Joseph Daniels officiating. Visitation will be held at the community center beginning at 1:00 pm on Friday until the time of services on Saturday.
