Elizabeth "Betty" M. Hessing, age 79 of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 in Shawano. Betty was born on November 5, 1935 in Krakow, the daughter of the late John and Anna (Surma) Jurecki. On September 16, 1961 Betty was united in marriage to Ray Hessing at St. Athanasius Church in Evanston, IL. The couple lived in Evanston for 20 years before moving to Tulsa, OK where they lived for 25 years. Ray preceded her in death in 1999 and in 2002, she returned to Shawano to be closer to her family. She was a very generous person, who enjoyed baking and gardening. Betty is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, her parents, John and Anna, 1 sister, Julia and 5 brothers, Anton, Stanley, John, Casey and Jerome.
