Ellen E. Stueck, age 91, of Lacrosse, WI., formerly from Shawano passed away July 17, 2015. Ellen was born on January 11, 1924 in the Town of Alma to Otto and Emma (Loehrl) Strelow. She grew up on a farm near Bowler. On May 27, 1944 Ellen was united in marriage to Lloyd Stueck. After spending a brief time traveling with her husband who was in the Army, they moved to Milwaukee and then settled in a home in Mequon. Several years later they moved to Thiensville and Ellen worked for the post office from which she retired. They also had a cottage on Lake Winnebago and enjoyed it for many years with children and grandchildren. Ellen was an excellent seamstress and she loved to cook, garden and quilt. In their later years, they moved to Shawano and Ellen was involved in sewing with the ladies at Zion Lutheran Church. Ellen is survived by two daughters, Kerry (Dan) Shaw and Lynn (Fiancé, Jan Greenquist) Allen; one son, David (Janice) Stueck. She is further survived by two sisters, Marcella Hafferman and Dolores Page, as well as nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd, parents Otto and Emma and eight siblings Albert, Ernie, Harvey, George, Marvin, Rueben, Alvin and Lucille. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday July 25, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano with Pastor Scott Ludford officiating.
