Obituary

Emerson Hull left this life for his eternal rewards with his Lord on Monday, April 10, 2023. Emerson was born in Shawano on January 10, 1936, to the late Ward and Jenny (Denn) Hull. Em attended a rural country primary school and graduated from Shawano High School. He then attended Northeast Technical School to become a certified heavy duty diesel mechanic. Em married his high school sweetheart and friend, Ellie Dillenburg, on September 5, 1956. The couple are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano.

The couple were blessed with three children: daughter and devoted friend, Rozann Hull of Cecil, son, hunting partner and sidekick, David (Debbie - Em's second daughter) Hull of Bonduel, and special devoted son, Michael of Shawano. He is further survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Eleanor "Ellie" of Shawano; five grandchildren, Kerrie (David) Marquardt, Bonnie Wudstrack, Melanie (Ryan) Biese, Mindy (Kevin) Lohff and Joshua (fiancée, Caitlin Ryczkowski); eight great-grandchildren, Landon and Payton Marquardt, Trevor and Lily Wudstrack, Dominick and Isabella Biese, Brody and Logan Lohff; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Em enjoyed all outdoor sports related to hunting and fishing, trapping, and trapshooting. He was a lifetime member of the National Trapping Association. He loved all things baseball, playing for both Bonduel and Shawano, and lead the BBA for pitching. His friendly manner and many friends fulfilled his daily life and his many trips in his Ford truck, with his canine companion, Sam.

Emerson is preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Martha Leiser, Nora Pieper, and Florence List.

A memorial Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano, with Fr. Scott Valentyn officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
