Eric D. Herrmann, age 15 of Shawano, passed away on October 22, 2014 in Shawano. Eric was born in Shawano on April 1, 1999 to David and Kim (Maltbey) Herrmann. Eric was a sophomore at Shawano Community High School where he played the trombone in the band and jazz band. He was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church and loved hunting, computers and other tech gadgets. He was a quick-witted, kind and compassionate person who will be missed by all who knew him. Eric is survived by his parents David and Kim, his brothers Joshua and Andrew, grandmother, Macie Herrmann all of Shawano. He is further survived by several aunts and uncles. Eric was preceded in death by his grandparents, Doug and Jan Maltbey, Vernon Herrmann and his aunt and uncle Kelly and Steve Collins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Ted Andrada officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 4:00 - 7:00p.m. and again at the church on Saturday from 10:00a.m. until the time of the service. Eric, you have taken with you a piece of my heart. A void that will never be filled. I hope to find peace that you are with your "blue grandma" now. I will miss you each and every day!
