Esther J. (Braun) Hinkfuss, age 99 of Seymour, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013. Born on June 27, 1913 in the Town of Angelica, she is the daughter of the late Emil and Elisa (Lemke) Braun. On November 24, 1938 she married George Hinkfuss and they enjoyed 30 years together before George passed away in August of 1969. Esther lived most of her life in the Town of Angelica, but resided in Seymour the past nine years. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, reading the Bible and doing word search puzzles. Esther also enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with her close friend, Norma Wegner. Esther was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was also a member of the ladies' aid. Esther is survived by: her 3 children, Roger (Donna) Braun of Seymour, Ronald (Jean) Hinkfuss of Bonduel, Lois (John) Lemke of Black Creek; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents; 3 brothers, Anson, Otto, Elmer; 2 sisters-in-law, Buelah and Ceil; a great-grandchild, Alexis Passmore and a granddaughter-in-law, Darla Lemke. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2013 the Zion Lutheran Church in Zachow with the Rev. Richard Buhrke officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
