Obituary

Ethel Janssen, age 89 of Shawano, formerly of New Richmond, passed away on October 6, 2017. Born on December 13, 1927 in Kewaunee, Illinois, she is the daughter of the late John and Lelia (Agnew) Wallace.  Ethel grew up in Kewaunee.  On September 21, 1947, she was united in marriage to Harry Janssen, who preceded her in death on January 11, 1996.  The couple lived in New Richmond for many years before relocating to the Town of Washington in 2012.  Ethel enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, cooking and baking, as well as spending time with family and friends.
Ethel is survived by: nieces and nephews including, niece, Lelia Schneider; nephew, Lowell Schneider; great niece, Jennifer (Mark) Maassen; great-great nieces, Halie and Faith, along with other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her parents; two sisters and three brothers.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Burial will be in New Richmond Cemetery at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
