Eugene Dale Klosterman, age 81, of Bowler, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 in Shawano. Born on December 21, 1931 in the Town of Hartland, he was the son of the late Herman and Dora (Kroening) Klosterman. Eugene grew up in the Bonduel area. On June 11, 1955 he was united in marriage to Violet Gagnow in Navarino. After marriage the couple farmed the family farm in the Town of Hartland. Eugene also worked at various other places including Vlasic Pickles and Seneca Foods. After retiring, Eugene moved to Bonduel, Shawano and finally Bowler. When not working, Eugene loved to spend time with his family. He also enjoyed deer hunting, talking about farming, going for drives, playing bingo, polka music, dartball, bowling and watching Bonanza. Eugene was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Eugene is survived by: his 6 daughters, Joan Bierhals of Shawano, Nola (Doug) Martin of Keshena, Laura (Ron Leiterman) Arrowood of Denmark, Becky (Craig) Arrowood of Bowler, Lucy Klosterman of Cecil, Judy Klosterman of Suamico; his son, Dale (Kathy) Klosterman of Gillett; 17 grandchildren, Mike (Amanda), Darvin, and Scott McKenna, Jason, Kimberly, Sean, Audrey and Jean Klosterman, David (Crystal), Christina (Juan Saldana), Melissa, Nicholas, Craig Jr., Casey, and Samantha Arrowood, MaryLiz and Brandon Martin; 17 great-grandchildren, Issabella, Tori, Colten, Jason, Jakob, Lindsay, Mallory, William, Brennen, Patrick, Ireland, Serenity, Domanic, Emilio, Alexis, Seth, Isaiah; a sister, Diane (Vern) Zuleger; and siblings-in-law, Elaine Gagnow, Darvin (Dorothy) Gagnow, Ila Mae Gipp, Marcella Gagnow, Delbert Zuleger and Rachel Gagnow. Eugene was preceded in death by: his wife of 55 years, Violet on May 21, 2011; 2 grandchildren, Douglas "Mister" Martin, Chad Allen Klosterman; his parents; and siblings-in-law, Darlene, Marvin, Orville, Arlis and Robert Gagnow and Beverly Zuleger. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Laney. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00pm and at the church on Thursday from 10:00am until the time of the service.
