Eugene M. Schultz, age 76, of Shawano, departed this life on September 27, 2021, at Shawano Place Assisted Living. Eugene was born on January 15, 1945, to the late Melvin and Edna (Wetzel) Schultz in Shawano. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Stony Hill and attended Shawano High School. He was employed with Hotz's Lumber Co., Shawano and later with International Paper, aka Akrosil, of Menasha, WI. He enjoyed country living and spending time visiting family and friends. He loved to go to polka dances, watch Nascar, and any Wisconsin sports teams.

Eugene is survived by four daughters, Michelle (Jesse) Malitz, Lisa Krueger (Rodney Fritz), Tammy Aultman, of Shawano, and Gwen (William) Friedauer of Neenah, twelve grandchildren, Jakob Malitz, Savanna Malitz, Cody Krueger, Matthew Krueger, Cari Cuenca, Megan Krueger, Bryan Burmeister, Samantha Malitz, Tamra Malitz, Ethan Westcot, Laylah Friedauer, and Kaden Friedauer, eight great-grandchildren, Harlynn, MaeLeena, MaKinlie, Letty, Colton, Abbigaile, Trenton, and Jackson, a brother, Allen and sister-in-law, Mary Schultz from Powell, TN. He is further survived by niece, Erin (Kevin) Kragenbrink from Knoxville, TN and nephew, Rev. Adam Schultz from Lexington, VA.

Funeral services for Eugene will be held on Friday, October 1, 2021, at 11 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church – Stony Hill with Pastor Steve Conradt officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until time of service at the church.  A memorial fund has been established for St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Stony Hill in Eugene's name.
