Obituary

Eugene Francis Skalitzky, age 77 of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at his home. Eugene was born on January 23, 1941 in Shawano, son of the late Benedict and Alice (Blish) Skalitzky.  He was a graduate of Shawano High School.  On December 23, 1971, he was united in marriage to Eileen B. Krueger at Zion Lutheran Church in Shawano.  Eugene worked for Twigs Beverage, Dey's Inc. and Murphy Cement Company until his retirement.  He enjoyed working on cars and going to car shows.
Eugene is survived by: his loving wife of almost 47 years, Eileen; sons, Faron (Kristi) and Terry (fiancée, Angela) all of Shawano; grandchildren, Gage, Shania (Jordon), Hays (Emily), Tucker, Madisyn, Payton, Clayton and Dalton; and two sisters-in-law, Karen Skalitzky of Pulaski and Debbie Skalitzky of Shawano.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Desiré, his parents, two brothers, Dennis and Richard and one sister, Barbara.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at St. Jakobi Lutheran Church in Shawano with Rev. Travis Kleinschmidt officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:30 am until the time of the service.
